About HSCSS

PhotoKnowledge, Friendship, Fun

Learn more about succulents from fellow hobbyists when you join the Henry Shaw Cactus and Succulent Society. HSCSS members are pleased to share their knowledge of succulent and cacti species. While some maintain small “window” gardens, others build greenhouses to support their cultivation habits.

Henry Shaw Cactus and Succulent Society is based in St. Louis, Missouri. The group is an affiliate chapter of the Cactus and Succulent Society of America and a member plant society of Missouri Botanical Garden. HSCSS has a membership that includes over 150 people of varied ages and interests.

In addition to plenty of advice, each member of the society can take advantage of many club activities and benefits. These include a monthly newsletter, regular meetings with guest speakers, members-only sales and other events – see a full list of benefits on the “Join” page.

MISSION STATEMENT:

The mission of the Henry Shaw Cactus and Succulent Society is to promote and increase knowledge of the culture, propagation and conservation of cacti and other succulent plants from arid regions around the world.
