Member Plant Sales

Sale Setup: Friday, July 15 – 8:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
Post-Sale Pickup: Sunday, July 17 – 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Please follow these guidelines if you plan to sell plants at Glaziers Hall:

1. Members must contact Don Lesmeister (314-962-7132, to register as sellers. The deadline to register is July 3. You will not be able to sell plants unless you are previously registered.

2. Each sale plant must have a label with the plant’s botanical name. This label usually takes the form of a small stick or tag made of plastic or wood placed in the soil. If you don’t know the exact species, the genus alone will suffice.

3. Each sale plant must also have a price tag sticker, typically placed on the plant label. Round Avery-type stickers are perfect for this. Write the sale price in an even dollar amount on the sticker and include your initials at the top. Please make sure all your price labels are the same color.

4. When plants are checked out, the price stickers will be removed and kept in a record book to be tabulated later. Sellers will receive 75% of the sale price, and HSCSS will keep 25%.

5. Members will be held to the same quality standards to which our professional vendors must comply. Plants must be healthy, without unsightly scars, well rooted, top dressed and in good overall condition.

6. You are responsible for putting your plants on the sales table and picking them up after the event. Please be patient, as table space will initially be limited. Once the sale starts, space will open up quickly.

7. Anyone selling plants will need to volunteer for at least half a day at this event. Please let us know what time(s) work best for you when you register to sell.
