2023 – Hello, Favorites

Photos by Jolie Krupnik

The February HSCSS meeting program was an introduction to several popular genera of plants: Pachypodium, Sansevieria, and Lithops and Conophytum. Below are photos of the plants brought in by the speakers for each group of plants (Lithops not shown).

One can’t help but marvel at the species’ differences within each genus – flat- and round-leafed sansevierias, upright and cascading branches of pachypodiums, and conophytum shapes, as described in Wikipedia, ranging from “bilobed” to spherical to ovoid to tubular to conical. It’s good to be meeting in person again!
